Books
I'm reading a great book right now called "I, Elizabeth" by Rosalind Miles. It's a historical fiction book about Queen Elizabeth. There are five sub-books within starting from "Bastard", to "Virgin", to "Queen", etc. They are written as a memoir of her life. So interesting! Talks about her father's 'many' wives, her sister Mary, everything- I'm really enjoying it. Ms. Miles also has written the Guinevere Trilogy, and the Tristan and Isolde Trilogy, along with many others. If you like these eras- I would highly recommend these.
But as I'm finishing, I'm scouting out new ones. I want to read fiction right now. I have some in mind, but have yet to borrow them or purchase them. If you've read anything amazing lately, feel free to pass on the info.
Nothing too much is happening right now. I am interviewing and working at Noah's for the summer, Michael is still working at First Tech helping them continue to work kinks out from their changes, and we are enjoying the sunshine and our housemates. Ania is getting really big! For pics of her go to: www.leonardopics.blogspot.com.
More to come!

Departure
It's 5:00 AM and I'm sitting in the Portland Airport Starbucks taking advantage of the free wi-fi. This is the first bit of downtime I've had in quite a while. With six work days off I feel like I can finally breathe again. I've been working so much overtime over the last couple of months due to a software conversion at work (conveniently planned just on the heels of tax-season) that I forgot what it's like to wake up without an automatic "to-do" list pre-programmed into my head. I'll tell you one thing I'm not going to miss for a week...that's right...meetings!

I have the whole "Demotivator" inspirational art collection on my computer. I look through them from time to time to remind myself of one of the great maxims: "Procrastination: Hard work often pays off after time, but laziness always pays off now." So, with that in mind, here's to week of hard-earned laziness.
Now that it's obvious that I'm trying to find less-than lucid reasons to plug stupid slogans and pictures into an entry that totally lacks coherence to begin with, I'm going to shut-up. Remember, it's 5:00 AM and I've already been up for a couple of hours.
We'll see ya on the other side of our trip to Texas and the wedding. Cheers.
