Back in the Blogosphere



After a not-so-brief hiatus filled with packing, unwiring, commuting, unpacking, rewiring and many other fun-filled activities, we're back!! After vacating the Alpernardo house (a sad day...we love you 'Nardo's!!), we spent a few weeks in the 'couve and enjoyed a close proximity to family and a consequent one and a half hour commute to work. Life has normalized, however, as we're entering our third week in our new pad. We finally got wired over the weekend and have backed the dusty old computer out of the driveway and eased back onto the information super-highway.

I'd love to say that we'll be blogging on a more regular basis now, but I won't. I made that a goal over the last year and have done a lousy job of meeting it. It didn't quite make my short list of resolutions for the new year (it was knocked out by "eating healthier" and "finding the ultimate, non-electric razor under $10"). No, no vows to blog semi-weekly here. We both know I'll never change. Well, maybe I will, in which case you (whoever's still reading this) will be pleasantly surprised and maybe I'll be taken off of double secret probation by the McKinney Diner. If not, you can't say I didn't meet your expectations...for I am hereby lowering the bar.

All that aside, life is good. The coldest part of the winter is hopefully over and the days are starting to get a bit longer. We're loving our community and our jobs. It's weird living alone again after a year and a half of 24/7 live-in community, but it has it's perks and we've seen Chris and Karli three times this week, so we're still getting our 'Nardo love! Katie celebrated another birthday yesterday and we're a month into our fourth year of marriage. Can't complain much at all.

We'll, my quiet day off is slowly fading, so I'm off to run some errands. We'll talk more soon...maybe...
